FBC X-treme Children's Ministry!

Children of all ages are invited to worship and learn about Jesus at FBC X-treme Children's Ministry! Come meet Pastor Rob Bratcher and make friends with kids your age.

Nursery care is provided during Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening services. Parents are encouraged to participate in the adult worship and bible study times.

Wednesday Night 6:15- 7:30 p.m. Highpoint! Our exciting new Children's program where we "travel' to foreign countries to learn valuable life lessons. Children from preschool through 5th are invited to travel with us.

“X-treme”

“X-treme” involves extended activities throughout the year, including all children grades K – 5, such as Super Sunday, Pizza Parties, the Big Snack Attack, Wacky Wednesday, Slip and Slides, Walk-In-Movie, Fall Harvest Party, Christmas Party, Water -Give- Away, Sledding, Easter Celebration, Scavenger Hunts, Summer Splash & Bash to name many of the “X-treme” activities. Incorporated with these activities are lessons and “X-treme” brain gain as they memorize God’s Word.

Hoops Basketball

Hoops basketball is our outreach program which involves children Pre-K through 5th grade throughout Alexandria and extended area. The Hoops Basketball program runs six weeks beginning in January through the end of February. Hoops is held Saturday mornings with times specific for each age group. The Hoops program provides a Christian atmosphere in which to learn the fundamentals of basketball and play games with friends in the community. Incorporated in the Hoops program is a time for a lesson about Jesus, being a part of God’s Team and instilling sportsmanship, trust, teamwork, kindness, and respect. Each Hoops player receives a shirt and is given an award at the special service as they complete the season.

Nets Volleyball

Nets volleyball is our outreach program, which involves children Pre-K through 5th grade throughout Alexandria and extended area. The Nets Volleyball program runs six weeks beginning in September through the October. Nets is held Saturday mornings with times specific for each age group. The Nets program provides a Christian atmosphere in which to learn the fundamentals of volleyball and play games with other friends in the community. Incorporated in the Nets program is a time for a lesson about Jesus, being a part of God’s Team and instilling sportsmanship, trust, teamwork, kindness, and respect. Each Nets player receives a shirt and is given an award at the special service as they complete the season.

Sunday School

The children’s Sunday school classes are designed to present the Gospel of Christ and the biblical stories, which build the foundation and knowledge of God’s Word. Our Sunday School classes cover Pre-school, Kindergarten/1st grade, 2nd/3rd grade and 4th/5th grade. Sunday school is at 9:15 – 10:05 a.m. with a 20 minute pre-worship for the children following Sunday School, before the church service, which includes music, memorization of Bible verses and a study in prayer.

Breakfast with a “Champion for God”

Breakfast with a Bible Champion is held once a month from September through May. The children have breakfast before Sunday School at 9:00 a.m. with a Bible personality. We have had visits from Moses, Paul, Mary mother of Jesus, Ruth, Simon Peter, Joseph, Andrew, David, Samuel for just a few. Have your children enjoy breakfast with us.

Summer Activities

During the summer FBC offers a week for Vacation Bible School, which is designed with an excellent program of lessons and activities chosen from one of the outstanding Christian publishing companies. In the summer, church camp is also offered for children 3rd grade through High school. Camp is held at McCormick’s Creek State Park and Olivet near Bloomington through the Friendship Baptist Association or a variety of camp weeks are offered through the American Baptist Conference at Tippecanoe Baptist Camp in North Webster, Indiana.
